Did you recognize this kid? You'll smile when you find out who this people's favorite is

He was born on October 6, 1954 in the small town of Petrich into a family of teachers. He was born to his aunt. As he himself says: "My aunt gave birth to me because my mother realized that she was going to give birth to an idiot."

He is Dimitar Tudzharov - Shkumbata and in 2024 he celebrates his 70th anniversary.

From an early age, little Mitko shone with his talent for making everyone around him laugh. He received his nickname from his father, Nedelcho Tudzharov - Shkumbata, who worked as a teacher.

His first appearance on stage was at the age of 6, when he was in first grade. The venue was the Petritsa community center "Bratya Miladinovi", and the role of little Shkumba was... a lazy man. He played a man who picked roses in front of the block, much to the horror of the volunteers from the Timurovsky command.

However, stage fright takes its toll, as 6-year-old Shkumba forgets his lines as soon as he goes on stage. But his sense of improvisation saves him. He pricks himself on one of the roses he has to pick and, shouting "Oooh," runs to the teacher, who gives him an envelope with the lines.

And since then until today, Shkumbata's mission has been to entertain people on stage.

There is no Bulgarian who has not laughed at his specific way of telling jokes. In the mid-90s, his audio cassette with anecdotes "First Private-Honest Illegal Radio" became particularly popular.

He is the author of many one-man shows, having filled theaters all over the country. He currently hosts his own show "Tonight with Shkumbata" on 7/8 TV.
