Pierre Palmade spotted in the street...see more

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, after more than four months in prison, Pierre Palmade was able to return home wearing an electronic tag. Our colleagues at RTL interviewed his neighbors, who didn't all seem happy about his return.

The day after  the Bordeaux Court of Appeal  upheld Pierre Palmade's request to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest with an electronic tag, the comedian left the Bordeaux-Gradignan penitentiary. He had spent more than  four months behind bars . Convicted after causing a fatal car accident while under the influence of drugs, he was able to return home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. On this occasion, our colleagues at  RTL  spoke with his neighbors to find out their reactions to his release. Chantal, a resident of his neighborhood, expressed her anger.  "He's sentenced to so many years in prison and he's out after just a few months. Justice isn't the same for everyone, I think," she said, having already met the comedian before his  incarceration .  "Life will be better at his place, all the better, that's for sure. I have nothing against him personally. I've run into him several times in the street. Very discreet, very shy, you can tell he's very, very uncomfortable. Because I tried to say hello to him. He's astonished when you say hello, he's surprised ," she added.

While she is annoyed by the court's decision, another of Pierre Palmade's neighbors, Éric, is not. According to him, everyone deserves a second chance.  "I don't mind that he's out. On the contrary, I trust the judges who, presumably with an electronic tag, granted him the opportunity to leave, receive treatment, and perhaps reintegrate into society. And I don't think he's so dangerous as to cause any particular problems in the neighborhood," he stated. As a reminder, the comedian is subject to curfew. Thus, he has the right to leave his home on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., on Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and then between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, his leave will extend from noon to 5 p.m. On Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m., and then from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
