At 83, Alain Delon revealed that he lives alone, secluded in his property in Douchy, in the Val de Marne. His only companion? His dog, whom he calls his "end-of-life" dog.
On her show Thé ou Café , Catherine Ceylac has a knack for getting her guests to talk about the most sensitive subjects. While interviewing a French film icon this Saturday morning, the host addressed the crucial issue of end-of-life care.
Clearly, at 83, Alain Delon has already planned everything . And he speaks of it with a certain tenderness. To accompany him in his final years, the star of " La Piscine" has decided to surround himself with the most faithful companion of all: his dog . "He's my dog for the end of my life because I don't want to die and leave a dog behind. I've had fifty in my life, all buried near me. But this one will be 12 years old when I'm 90."
Deeply committed to animal welfare, Alain Delon categorically refuses to let his dog outlive him, thus avoiding the risk of him being abandoned in a shelter , as is sadly often the case after someone dies. “ I don’t want any more dogs. He has no wife, no children, he has nothing. He’s my only dog, and he’s the dog I’ll be with at the end of my life. It’s crucial and very important to me .”
In his solitary life, Alain Delon also confided to Catherine Ceylac that he was accompanied by his faith: “ I have a mad passion for Mary. She is the woman in the world I love the most, the woman in the world I think about the most, and the one I speak to most often. I talk to her at home, I talk to her alone at home, and I tell her what I have to say to her. ”
