It was Cori Broadus, the daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg , who herself announced the terrible news on social media. Her 10-month-old baby, Codi Dreaux, has passed away. The announcement was made in an Instagram story this past Saturday, January 31st. The 26-year-old posted a black and white photo of herself smiling, holding the infant in her arms The caption contrasts sharply with the apparent happiness of the image: "On Monday I lost the love of my life, my Codi," wrote the grieving young mother, accompanying her heartbreaking words with an angel wings emoji.
Cori's partner and Codi's father, Wayne Deuce, also shared a series of photos on his own Instagram account, in stories. " I've been so sad since you left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know you're at peace. Daddy will always love you ," he wrote over a poignant photo of himself holding his daughter in his arms.

Cori, Snoop Dogg's youngest child and only daughter , announced in February 2025 that she had given birth to her daughter three months early. " Princess arrived at 6 months , " she wrote in the birth announcement, which included a black and white photo of the baby's foot. Snoop Dogg's daughter revealed that she had been forced to have a premature cesarean section because she suffered from HELLP syndrome , a rare bleeding disorder that endangered both her life and the life of the fetus. After the operation, the young woman rejoiced at what she believed to be a happy ending. "My baby girl arrived today at 25 weeks and she is obviously perfect!" she declared. "Thank God for bringing me this far despite the obstacles that constantly stand in my way."
Her death came just as Codi had finally left the neonatal unit where she had been monitored day and night since her birth early last year . "She's home," Cori had rejoiced on January 6, showing a few photos of herself and her baby in their bed.
Snoop Dogg has been severely affected in recent years by painful losses.
This is yet another loss for the 54-year-old rapper, who has already suffered many hardships in recent years. The " Drop It Like It's Hot" artist lost his mother, Bevely Tate, in 2021 ; she was only 70 years old. Snoop Dogg also lost his brother, Bing Worthington, who passed away at the age of 44 in 2024. The rapper's family suffered another devastating tragedy with the death of Kai Love, the third child of his son, Corde Broadus, who was 25 at the time. Broadus did not reveal the cause of the infant's death, explaining that he and his partner, Soraya, were now focusing on Kai's older children, Zion, from a previous relationship, and Eleven, their daughter. " My son did everything he had to do on this earth in the ten days of his short life. He has now gone to heaven where he continues his mission. He died in my arms," the young father stated, adding, " Kai wants you to know that he is okay and wishes to continue inspiring those who are grieving." Snoop Dogg and his family can count on Shante, his wife since 1997 , mother of his four children, and rock through every storm, during this new ordeal.
