Turn this off immediately. What in the apartment uses the most electricity?

Many apartment owners must have been surprised at how high their electricity bills can be.

Why pay extra when we can reduce costs?
The solution is simple – reduce electricity consumption, especially that which is "wasted" without real need, for example for lighting.

But the lights are a relatively small part of the total cost. The appliances actually consume the most energy. If some of them are running 24/7, the bills naturally increase.

What should we not leave on at night?

DeviceReason to turn it off
BoilerOne of the biggest "suckers" of electricity.
ComputerThere's no point in running it 24 hours a day; turn it off or at least put it into sleep mode.
TVA serious consumer, even in standby.
Wi-Fi routerUsually unnecessary while you sleep – turn it off and rest peacefully.
Phone chargerIt's not good to leave your smartphone charging all night; in addition to wasting electricity, it also wears out the battery.

It’s also a good idea to unplug your microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, kettle, and other small kitchen appliances when you’re not using them. This eliminates so-called “silent” consumption – the electricity that devices draw even in standby mode.

Bottom line: Small habits like turning off and unplugging appliances at night can significantly reduce your energy bill without compromising your comfort.
