Why the washing machine has 3 compartments – only the most experienced housewives know
Every housewife has asked herself the question: "Why are there three compartments for detergent in the washing machine?" One is for powder, the other for fabric softener, but what the third one is for often remains unclear.
The answer is very simple.
The first compartment is intended for pre-washing and soaking, and only powder detergent is placed there. It is forbidden to freeze into it. In some washing machines, this compartment also has a smaller tank for bleach or stain remover.
The second compartment is the main one – you can pour powder or gel into it. It is used for all basic washing modes.
The third compartment is usually marked with a flower symbol. This is where you for fabric softener or other special fabric care additives.
