How does it work?
You film a short video of a car passing by.
The clip is automatically uploaded to a server.
The AI algorithm calculates the speed based on the images, compares it to the local limit and generates a detailed report with proof of speeding.
By reading the license plate number, the app also displays additional information about the vehicle.
Precision
According to the developers, the error is only ±3 km/h for users of the paid Pro version.
With the free database, the error reaches about 10% .
Propagation and reactions
Already available in the UK , the app is not yet listed in the French App Store and is marked as unavailable for Android.
It was created by a British team with the aim of improving road safety “by drawing attention to the problem of speeding.”
However, this raises concerns among some drivers about possible abuse and “opportunistic” reporting
