Iran said it was far from an agreement and would not compromise in talks with the United States to end the conflict in the Middle East. Tehran confirmed that it had received new proposals that were being considered.
Despite optimism from US President Donald Trump that a deal is close, Iran has stressed that there is no date for new talks. There has also been a warning attributed to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei that the Iranian navy is ready to confront the United States, NOVA reported.
Earlier, Tehran resumed tight control over the Strait of Hormuz, saying its closure would remain in effect until the US blockade against Iranian ports and ships was fully lifted.
Iran is currently reloading and replenishing its stockpiles of missile and drone launchers at a faster pace than before the war with the United States and Israel, Majid Mousavi, the commander of the Aerospace Forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said today, quoted by Reuter
Israel and the US launched attacks on Iran on February 28, with one of their goals being to neutralize Iran's missile forces.
Mousavi's statement was shared on social media alongside an edited video showing him inspecting an unnamed underground missile base. The video also includes footage of drones, missiles and launchers stored in underground facilities, as well as missile launches.
Reuters notes that it cannot confirm the authenticity of the footage through independent sources.
