It will hardly be a surprise to consumers if we say that on the market, cheese is sold in the form of "fresh cheese". For the first time, active consumers are testing the quality of the cheese offered on the Bulgarian market, and the results are, to put it mildly, disappointing, writes money.bg.
According to the analysis, most of the brands studied lack the basic characteristics that a real cheese should have. Instead of a dense structure and traditional taste, the products often contain excessive amounts of water, vegetable fats and additives that mislead buyers. The label says "cheese", but the contents say otherwise.
Experts recall that such practices are not new, but recent tests show that the trend is deepening.
