A reinforced police presence has been introduced in the Pleven village of Bukovlak following an escalation of tension related to a conflict between Roma families.
According to information from the scene, the entire police force has been mobilized, and the area is under increased control due to the risk of serious clashes, reports GlassNews.
Witnesses claim that groups of Roma gathered in different places in the village, some of them holding clubs, stakes, shovels, axes and other hard objects, which required immediate intervention by law enforcement agencies.
Police teams are carrying out strict checks at all entrances and exits to Bukovlak. Cars are stopped, drivers and passengers are checked, and access to outsiders to the settlement is severely restricted.
According to unofficial information from our media, the measures were taken due to data on possible serious tension and a real danger of clashes between warring groups, which necessitated preventive actions by the police.
