I bought a safe at a flea market, but when I took it home and opened it — a surprise awaited me
A friend advised me: “Why spend money on a new safe? "Go to the market — you'll find something reliable and cheaper."
.
So I did. I saw this safe on a stall - massive, almost scratch-free, with a reliable handle and lock. It looked decent and cost many times less than a new one.
. I thought, "Why not?"
I took it home, put it in the corner, played with the lock... and when I finally opened it, I froze.
The continuation is in the first comment.

Inside was a box full of old coins, banknotes, rolled up pieces of paper, glass jars, and even a few silver items.
I felt like I had discovered a hiding place from the middle of the last century.
Someone apparently used the safe for valuables, and for some reason everything was left inside.

The banknotes were old-fashioned, the coins were neatly arranged, and some things seemed to be hidden "for a rainy day."
At first I couldn't believe my eyes. The more I looked, the more surprised I became. Apparently someone had forgotten about this precious cache.
Or maybe the owner has long been dead, and the safe accidentally came up for sale.

Now I'm wondering whether to keep it or try to find out where it came from. One thing is clear - this was the most unexpected purchase of my life.
Sometimes life gives us surprises that money can't buy.
